Roadmap

What is coming next.

Features that are planned or waiting to open. None of them is part of a plan until it is live; when one opens, it moves to the features page with its plan.

AI assistance from MotoDealerHQ Not live yet

MotoDealerHQ supplies the AI service, so there is no separate AI account to open. Owners set the budgets and permissions, and the maximum charge is shown before each job.

  • AI credits with spending limits AI work is priced in MotoDealerHQ credits (1 credit = $0.01). Each job shows its maximum charge before it runs and is never charged more, within the budgets and limits your owners set. Credit packages are billed by invoice.
  • Intelligence Plus add-on An optional add-on with extra monthly AI credits and advanced inventory intelligence tools. Its price will be published on the pricing page when it launches.
  • AI assistant Ask questions about your dealership in plain English. Answers come from your own records and only what each person may see, and AI can only propose changes for a person to approve. You decide who can use it and what it may spend; the maximum charge is shown before each action.
  • Role-specific AI assistants Assistants for sales, service, parts, sales managers and general managers, each with the data access, tools, budget and approvals you set. You choose which roles get an assistant and what each may see and spend.
  • AI Management Morning Brief Start the day with dealership performance, inventory concerns, upcoming priorities and recommendations tailored to your business goals: aging inventory, unanswered leads, service backlog, pending purchases and the top five actions, scoped to each person's role and rooftops. Figures and actions come from your own records. AI summaries and follow-up questions are coming soon and will use MotoDealerHQ credits.
  • AI supplied by MotoDealerHQ MotoDealerHQ supplies the AI service behind every AI feature, with dealership-specific instructions, permission-controlled data access and built-in safeguards. There is no separate AI account to open or manage. Nothing to set up on your side.
  • AI usage billing AI work is billed in MotoDealerHQ credits (1 credit = $0.01). You see the maximum charge before each job runs; it is charged once when it finishes, never above that maximum, and appears on your statements within the spending caps you set. Billed by invoice.
  • AI budgets and usage limits Set monthly AI budgets for the dealership, departments, users, assistants and features, with request limits and a hard stop when a budget is reached.
  • Employee AI permissions Choose which rooftops, departments, roles and people may use each AI tool. A restriction always wins, and lower levels can only narrow access.
  • AI help in the text inbox Draft, rewrite or shorten a reply, summarize a conversation and suggest next steps. Drafts go into the composer for a person to send. Optional auto-reply is off by default, can only be turned on by an owner or general manager, runs only in set hours with daily limits, says it is automated, never quotes prices or trade values, and hands anything urgent or unclear to a person. Launches with the AI assistant.

Texting and email to customers Not live yet

Built and waiting for customer texting and email sending to go live. Your dealership's texting number is set up by our team and registered with the carriers, which can take days to weeks.

  • Two-way texting and email One thread per customer, consent and STOP/opt-out handled for you. Sends from your dealership's number and email address once texting and email sending go live.
  • Post-sale and service follow-up sequences Sequences triggered by a delivered sale, a service visit, a missed appointment or an unanswered quote, with consent, quiet hours, frequency caps and one-click unsubscribe. Sends once texting and email sending go live.
  • Maintenance reminders Reminders by interval, mileage, engine hours, first service, annual service and declined work, with consent checks. Sends once texting and email sending go live; you choose which reminders to switch on.
  • Customer retention campaigns Purchase anniversaries, maintenance and service follow-ups, warranty expiration, repeat-purchase and trade-in upgrade campaigns, abandoned quotes, reactivation, parts order follow-ups and accessories matched by fitment data. Every message needs consent, honours unsubscribes, STOP and your do-not-contact list, and waits for a person's approval unless the owner allows automatic sending. Sends once texting and email sending go live.
  • Two-way text inbox One inbox for customer texts: conversations threaded per customer and dealership number, unread and awaiting-reply views, assignment and reassignment, internal notes with mentions, delivery status, templates with checked merge fields, scheduled sends, and the customer, lead, vehicle and consent panel beside each conversation. Needs a texting number set up by the platform team and an approved carrier registration.
  • Dealership texting numbers Request local or toll-free numbers per location and department, see the readiness checklist (number, carrier registration, connection check, test message), send an authorized test, and pause or release a number. Released numbers are held for 90 days before another dealership can use them. The platform team buys numbers and submits carrier registrations; approval can take days to weeks.
  • Text campaigns Bulk texts to opted-in customers with a frozen audience, opt-out wording required for marketing, approval by a second member, a send rate limit, and consent checked again for each person at send time. Needs an active texting number and marketing consent on file.
  • Repair status updates to customers When work starts, waits for parts or approval, or the vehicle is ready, the customer is told by email and, with SMS consent, by text, through the same outbound policy and message log as other messages. Staff can send a short custom update. Off until a rooftop turns it on. Sends once texting and email sending go live, from your dealership's email and texting accounts.

Opening after a platform review Not live yet

Built and waiting on a review or a platform switch before they open.

  • Network benchmarks Optional, opt-in comparison with other participating dealerships: demand, turnover, days to sale, price-band mix, department ratios and seasonality as cohort percentiles only, withheld when too few dealerships take part. Opens after a privacy and competition-law review.
  • Recall intelligence NHTSA recall campaigns matched by make, model and year, shown as model-level matches; VIN-specific status stays "unknown" until confirmed. Matches recalls by model rather than by individual VIN. Opens when recall lookups go live.

Waiting on another company Not live yet

These depend on an agreement, licence or approval from another company. The integration directory tracks each provider. Integration directory

  • Market data Local comparable listings and price position. Available once a licensed market-data provider is connected.
  • Book values from valuation guides Licensed valuation guide values alongside your own calculators. Available once a valuation-guide licence is in place.
  • Live auction connections API connections to NPA, Manheim, OPENLANE, ACV, Copart, IAA and ACV ClearCar for listings, valuations and bidding. Each auction needs an agreement. Until then bids are placed on the auction's own site and recorded here.
  • NPA integration National Powersport Auctions listings, condition reports, bidding, purchases and NPA Value Guide. Needs NPA membership and a data agreement. NPA export files can be imported today.
  • Manheim integration (MMR valuation) Manheim Market Report values by VIN; listings and bidding planned. Needs Cox Automotive approval. Covers automobiles, not powersports.
  • OPENLANE, ACV, Copart and IAA connections Listings and bidding with OPENLANE/ADESA, ACV, Copart and IAA. Each needs an agreement with the auction; their export files can be imported today.
  • ACV ClearCar appraisal integration Trade-in appraisals through ACV ClearCar where authorized. Needs an ACV agreement.
  • Approved auction API (MotoDealerHQ contract) A documented JSON contract for listings, bids and consignments with signed webhooks, for auctions that agree to connect. Opens for each auction that agrees to use it.
  • Upload straight to your YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook Upload or record from the console or your phone and it publishes to your own YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook Page, then attaches to the vehicle; no uploading there first and pasting links. Requires connecting your account; pasting a link always works. Connect your own YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook account; opens once those platforms approve the MotoDealerHQ app.
  • Direct DMS vendor APIs Two-way sync with DX1, Lightspeed EVO, CDK, Reynolds and Dealertrack. Each direct connection needs that vendor's approval. Imports from your DMS's export files work today.
  • Google Ads, Meta and social account connections Import ad spend from Google Ads and Meta and publish posts to Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile and X. Opens once Google and Meta approve the MotoDealerHQ app. Until then, posts can be copied and posted by hand.
  • Lender integrations Submit applications to lenders and receive decisions in the platform. Today staff submit through each lender's portal and record the decision here. Direct RouteOne and Dealertrack connections need partner agreements.
  • VIN-specific recall status Open or completed status of a recall for one specific VIN. Needs an authorized manufacturer or recall-data provider; until then staff record the status.
  • History reports (NMVTIS, CARFAX, AutoCheck) Order reports from inside the platform with prices shown first and no duplicate charges. Opens provider by provider as agreements are in place; the price is shown before you buy a report.
  • NMVTIS title and theft reports NMVTIS title-brand and theft reports through approved data providers. Needs an agreement with an NMVTIS-approved provider.
  • CARFAX and AutoCheck reports CARFAX and Experian AutoCheck reports ordered in the platform. Needs a CARFAX or Experian AutoCheck agreement.
  • Vehicle data services with prices you can see One page lists each paid vehicle data lookup (market pricing, comparables, title status, history reports) with its price, billing unit and who bills you. Paid lookups stay off until your dealership activates them, with a monthly budget and alert per service. Each lookup reserves its maximum price first, failed lookups are not charged, and lookups on your own provider account are never charged by MotoDealerHQ. Paid data services open once each data provider's agreement allows resale; basic VIN decoding from public data is free.
  • Market comparables with provenance Every value that rests on market comparables states its provider, observation date, comparable count, confidence, excluded and flagged outliers, assumptions and missing-data warnings, and that the prices are asking prices. Asking prices are never treated as sold prices: they become an expected sale price only through your own recorded sale-to-asking ratio. Opens once a licensed market-data provider is connected.
  • Live manufacturer connections Direct connections to a manufacturer for vehicle specs, pricing, incentives, warranty, bulletins and recalls, labor times, parts, allocation and ordering, delivery reporting and floorplan. Needs an agreement with each manufacturer; none is connected yet.
  • OEM and distributor ordering connections Live lookup, availability, price downloads, order submission and shipment tracking with parts distributors, OEM dealer portals and carriers. Distributor connections open one by one as agreements are in place. Purchase orders export as files you send today.
  • Card readers (Stripe Terminal) Take card-present payments on Stripe readers with authorization, capture, voids and refunds, settlement and payout tracking, and chargeback tracking. Needs your dealership's Stripe account with Terminal and compatible card readers; opens when card payments go live. Employee refund limits and a second approver apply.
  • Stripe Connect for dealerships Each dealership connects its own Stripe account (onboarding link or an existing account), with test mode first and live mode only after the owner approves it. Opens when card payments go live; each dealership then completes Stripe's onboarding.
  • QuickBooks Online sync Post invoices, payments, vendor bills and warranty receivables to your own QuickBooks Online company, after your accountant approves the account mapping. Period locks, human-approved corrections, daily reconciliation and a month-end close checklist. Connect your QuickBooks Online company once Intuit approves the MotoDealerHQ app. QuickBooks stays your book of record.
  • Supplier SFTP transfers Scheduled pull of supplier files and push of sent purchase orders over SFTP, secured with the supplier's verified host key and key-based sign-in. Needs each supplier's SFTP account; opens when outbound connections go live.
  • Electronic title and registration (ELT, CVR, Dealertrack, Vitu) Submit and track electronic lien and title, registration and title transactions with state systems and filing providers from the title record. Each provider needs an authorization or agreement and none is connected. Until then staff file with the state and record it in MotoDealerHQ.
  • Electronic OEM warranty submission Submit claims, check status and verify eligibility directly with the manufacturer. Needs a dealer connection with each OEM; until then claims are submitted by hand and tracked here.
