Last updated For owners, general managers and the managers who set up integrations Documentation for MotoDealerHQ 1.0.0-beta.1 “Assen”

The Integrations center is one page that shows every integration MotoDealerHQ has, with your dealership's real status. It covers social media, video publishing, lenders and finance, wholesale auctions, vehicle history, marketplaces, DMS and imports, payments, email and SMS, market data, AI, analytics and reviews, calendar feeds, and API keys and webhooks.

The page only shows status. Each card has a Configure button that opens the page where that integration is actually set up, for example Marketing › Connections for Facebook or Finance › Lenders for lenders.

Before you start #

  • You need the Open the Integrations center permission (integrations.view). Owners, general managers, marketing managers, finance managers and inventory managers have it. So does any role that already sets up an integration.
  • Setting something up still needs that integration's own permission. For example, a marketing manager can open the center and configure social media, but not email or payments.

Open the Integrations center #

  1. Open Settings › Integrations, or press Ctrl+K (Command+K on a Mac) and type a word like lenders, youtube or auctions.
  2. The filter chips at the top count the integrations in each status. Select one, for example Needs credentials, to see only those.
  3. Use the category links to jump to a group, for example Lenders and finance.
  4. On a card, select Configure (or View settings) to open that integration's settings page. Every settings page has a ← Integrations center link back.

What the statuses mean #

StatusMeaning
ConnectedYour account or credentials are saved and switched on.
Not connectedAvailable to you; nothing is set up yet.
Needs credentialsSomething is started but a password, key or account ID is missing. The card says whether you or the platform owner has to add it.
Requires partner agreementThe vendor only lets approved partners use its system, and there is no agreement yet. Examples: RouteOne, Dealertrack, CARFAX, most DMS vendors and most wholesale auctions.
Managed by platformThe platform runs it for every dealership, so there is nothing for you to enter. Examples: the AI provider and government VIN data.
DisabledNot usable right now. The card says why: your plan, a platform switch, a demo dealership, or outbound delivery being switched off.

Lenders #

Lenders connect in one of two ways today:

  • Manual (lender portal). You key the application into the lender's dealer portal and record the decision in MotoDealerHQ. This works with every lender.
  • Generic JSON (API). This is for a lender that implements the MotoDealerHQ lender protocol. It needs the lender's https address and a shared signing secret.

RouteOne and Dealertrack show Requires partner agreement. Both open their systems only to certified partners, so there is no connection to them yet. For the credit application itself, see credit applications and lenders.

Passwords and keys are never shown #

Saved passwords, keys and tokens are stored encrypted. After you save one, MotoDealerHQ only ever shows Saved • ends in 1234 (just Saved for short ones). To change a key, type the new one; leave the box empty to keep the old one. Every change is recorded in the audit log, without the value.

In the demo #

In the demo console, the Integrations center and every integration settings page open read-only. The forms are switched off and marked Demo: read-only. Statuses marked Sample are illustrations: the fictional dealership is not connected to any real account. API keys, webhooks and support access are not shown in the demo.

Screenshots show the fictional demo dealership. Something unclear or out of date? Tell your MotoDealerHQ contact or email support@motodealerhq.com.
