Install the app

You can install the dealer console as an app on your phone, tablet or computer. It opens in its own window with its own icon, starts faster, and can show push notifications. It is the same console you use in the browser, with the same sign-in and the same permissions.

Before you start #

• You need a MotoDealerHQ user account. Sign in at dealer.motodealerhq.com first.
• On iPhone and iPad, use Safari. Notifications need iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.
• On Android, use Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet. On Windows, Mac or ChromeOS, use Chrome or Edge.

Open the Mobile app page #

1. Select your name at the top right of the console.
2. Select Install the app. The Mobile app page opens.

3. What to notify me about. Choose the kinds of alerts you want.

Install on iPhone or iPad #

1. Open dealer.motodealerhq.com/app in Safari and sign in.
2. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
3. Tap Add.
4. Open MotoDealerHQ from your Home Screen. Always use this icon from now on; notifications only work in the installed app on iPhone and iPad.

Install on Android #

1. Open dealer.motodealerhq.com/app in Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet and sign in.
2. Tap Install the app on the page, or Install on the banner at the bottom of the screen.
3. If you see neither, open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

Install on a computer #

1. Open the console in Chrome or Edge.
2. Select Install the app on the Mobile app page, or the install icon at the right of the address bar.

Using the console on a phone #

On a phone the console adapts to the small screen:

• A quick navigation bar at the bottom gives one-tap access to Leads, Chat, Tasks and Inventory (each one only if your role can use it). More opens the full menu.
• On a lead, a bar at the bottom has Call, Message, Note, Task and Update.
• In chat, the reply box stays at the bottom while you scroll.
• Buttons and fields are larger, and text fields do not zoom in when you tap them.

2. More. Opens the full menu, the same as on a computer.

An install banner appears when your browser offers to install the app. Select Not now to hide it for 30 days.

Privacy on shared devices #

• The app keeps only the design files (styles, scripts and icons) on the device. Your customers, leads and other dealership data are never stored for offline use.
• Without a connection, the app shows a simple offline page.
• When you sign out, the app clears its stored files and stops notifications on that device.

Tips #

• If you work for more than one dealership, one installed app covers them all. Switch dealership from your name menu as usual.
• Keep your phone's operating system and browser up to date; install and notification support improves with each version.
• Shoppers can also add your public website to their home screen. It uses your logo or favicon as the icon.
