Push notifications
Turn on push notifications for new leads, chats, replies, appointments, tasks, deals and service on each of your devices, and choose what you hear about.
Push notifications tell you about new leads, website chats and customer replies the moment they happen, even when the console is closed. You turn them on per device, and you choose which kinds of alerts you get.
Before you start #
- On iPhone and iPad, install the app first and open it from your Home Screen. Notifications need iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.
- On Android and computers, notifications work in the browser or the installed app.
- Your platform operator must have set up notifications for the server. If the Mobile app page says "Notifications are not set up on this server yet", contact your platform administrator or support.
Turn on notifications on a device #
- On the device, open the console and select your name, then Install the app (or go to Notifications and select Phone & push settings).
- Under Notifications on this device, select Turn on notifications.
- When your browser or phone asks, choose Allow.
- Select Send a test notification to check it works. You can send up to 5 tests in 5 minutes.
Repeat these steps on every device where you want notifications. You can use up to 10 devices.
Choose what to be notified about #
- On the Mobile app page, go to What to notify me about.
- Tick the categories you want and untick the rest. Everything is on at first.
- Select Save.
| Category | You hear about |
|---|---|
| New and assigned leads | A lead is assigned to you, a new lead arrives, a lead is waiting too long for contact, or a form is submitted |
| Website chat | A shopper starts or continues a chat you can answer |
| Customer replies | A customer replies to a text or email |
| Appointments | Reminders for today's appointments |
| Tasks due | A follow-up task assigned to you is due |
| Deals signed and paid | A customer signs a deal online, pays a deposit or invoice, or changes an online deal |
| Service | A repair order is ready, or a customer approval is needed |
| Other alerts | Imports, stale inventory, accounting checks, credit applications and support replies |
You get a push notification only for things that would also appear in your in-app notifications (the bell). Your categories apply to all your devices.
(open full size)- Install. How to install the app on this device.
- Notifications on this device. On or off, plus the test button.
- Categories. What you want to hear about.
- My devices. Your devices, when each was added, and the last delivery.
What a notification shows #
By default a notification says only what happened, for example "New lead activity: open the console to see the details." Tapping it opens the right page in the console. If you work for several dealerships, you are asked before the console switches to another one.
A dealership can choose to include customer names and message previews. Users with settings.manage find this under Dealership setting on the Mobile app page: Show customer names and message previews in notifications. It is off by default.
Manage your devices #
- My devices lists each device, its push service, when it was added and when it last received a notification.
- Select Remove to stop notifications on a device, or Turn off on this device on the device itself.
- Notifications stop automatically when you sign out on that device, when a device has not been used for 30 days, after repeated delivery failures, or when your account is removed or suspended.
- If someone else signs in and turns on notifications on the same browser, your notifications on it stop.
Tips #
- Leave New and assigned leads and Website chat on. Fast replies win more deals.
- Turn off categories you already follow on a computer all day, so your phone only buzzes for what matters.
- If a test notification does not arrive, check that notifications are allowed for the app or browser in your phone's settings and that Focus or Do Not Disturb is off.
